Eponine, my latest #womensjacket is finished! She was picked up this afternoon by her new owner, who by the way looks great wearing Eponine. Happy designer, and more importantly - happy customer. Overall, Eponine’s lines are simple and elegant. Interest is created by the unique shawl collar and lapel combo, as well as the horizontal tucks that finish the sleeves and jacket. Epoinine is made with gunmetal (grayed navy) fused leather fabric which is buttery soft and is a pleasure to touch Fused leather is leather fragments that are broken down and then fused to a rayon backing which makes it less expensive than a leather hide. The fused leather does not lend itself well to some tailoring techniques and so next time I may make Eponine in a woven fabric. Anyone interested?
