A simple elegant grey skirt with a surprise!

The luxury of a lined dress, or skirt or jacket should be experienced often.  A tailored jacket usually includes a lining, but because of expense the lining is often eliminated from all other garments.  This is unfortunate because a lining helps the garment to skim over the body, makes it easy to slip into, feels luxurious, and makes the garment wear longer.

In my work linings give me another opportunity to add beauty to the garment so I spend time selecting the right fabric.  When I can I like to line with a splash of color.  Perhaps, a grey skirt with a deep red lining. The lining in a skirt may only be seen when the wearer slips in and out of the skirt, but what a treat to slip into silkiness and a beautiful color.  It is a secret confidence booster.



I just completed this grey skirt with the beautiful red lining and matching hem binding for a customer.  It is not on my website store, but I would be happy to make another one for you.
